A somewhat forgotten entry in the GI discography - no doubt owing to the fact it's self-titled, despite being their fourth album - Government Issue is the first time the band's psych-indebted post-hardcore sound came into bloom. More than being a mere stepping stone to the triumphs that are You and Crash, this is a masterwork in its own right, full of career defining tunes like "Say Something", "When I'm Alone" and the raga dirge of "Last Forever".
