The Big Bad Blues (CD)
Three years after his solo debut "Perfectamundo", rock legend Billy F Gibbons returns from the studio in 2018 with his second album on his own: "The Big Bad Blues". While the first album was clearly influenced by Caribbean sounds, number two now concentrates on Gibbons' lifelong love of blues and rock'n'roll. The singer and guitarist of ZZ Top has recorded eleven pieces for "The Big Bad Blues". Besides some new Gibbons originals, there are also some exciting cover versions, for example of classics like Bo Diddley's "Crackin' Up" or Muddy Waters' "Standing Around Crying" and "Rollin' and Tumblin'". The latter was already released as the first single.
