Following their move from Carrere Records, Saxon's seventh album "Innocence Is No Excuse," originally released on June 24, 1985, represented their first release on the new EMI label. It was additionally the last album to feature longtime bassist Steve Dawson, who, along with vocalist Biff Byford, guitarists Graham Oliver and Paul Quinn, and drummer Nigel Glockler, recorded the album at Munich's Union Studios with producer Simon Hanhart. The recordings were then mixed at Wisseloord Studios in Hilversum, the Netherlands
