Under-rated, sure it's a collection of seemingly generic rockers, but that's what The Rolling Stones are famous for, rocking their asses off. Some of the songs aren't even generic, some are damn good, like the title track "It's Only Rock 'n' Roll" (But I Like It) and "Time Waits for No One", which sounds like it could've influenced the later Stones song "Waiting on a Friend". The guitar solos on this track in particular are fabulous. "If You Can't Rock Me", while being bare bones Stones, is great, and they do a solid cover of The Temptations' classic "Ain't Too Proud to Beg". "Till the Next Goodbye" is a solid overlooked ballad that deserves some recognition. It's not "Ruby Tuesday" or "Angie", but it is still a fine Stones ballad.
