Bat - Hiru = 2 LP = (LP)
Fascinating album. Contains little more than Laboa's guitar and Basque vocals, and as he is neither a particularly technical player or an enchanting vocalist, the songs really have to stand on their own. And so they do for the most part, although much better on the second disc. The first one is mostly full of simple throwaway folk tunes that offer little to someone that doesn't understand the lyrics, but on the second one songs are allowed to grow and die freely, with long instrumental parts giving them structure. The 13 minute closer is just marvellous, agonising and passionate.
