BALLOON is a young Progressive rock band coming from the North of the Netherlands, consisting of four members: Hans BAAIJ (Vocals & keyboards), Michiel Van HORSSEN (Drums), Jos COMMANDEUR (Guitar) and Cyril WIJTE (Bass). The musicians intend to create a dream, a journey between psychedelia, heavy-metal, stoner-rock, Progressive rock and many other musicial styles... And they're not afraid of taking risks ! Their first self-produced album "Motivation" (2008) has been praised by both the critics and the audience, not only as a splendid piece of work, but also as a true innovative concept. So, that was enough to capture the attention of the Musea label ! Inspiration comes from various and very diverse directions. Here you'll find songs with pure energy and freshness combined with epical intrumental trips, Progressive rock n' roll, raw and direct riffing, dreamlike soundscapes, melodic rocksongs-meet-live jams...
