When I was exposed to "metalcore", I was exposed to bands like Killswitch Engage, Bullet For My Valentine, Trivium, Avenged Sevenfold and similar bands, so I was personally turned off by this and didn't bother giving it a chance and that's because I feared that it would sound like all those afomentioned bands. Finally, I listened to this album and I was surprised to hear that not all metalcore had a generic sound, ripping off of bands like At The Gates (and I don't care for At The Gates personally, just saying). The guitar work is fucking heavy as hell. The only reason why I gave this one less star is because of the last song which was unnecessary, but overall, this is a solid album. I'm generally not into this type of music much (I'm more into 80s hardcore), but if you are into hardcore, you'll definitely like this.
