4th album from Norweigan rockers who was originally formed in the early 70's. It’s progressive, cathedral, heavy, bluesy and melodic.  This album is oddly weird, oddly normal ! All the LUCIFER WAS trademarks; screaming guitars, the flutes, occasional mellotrons, heavy hammonds and Jon Ruders enchanting  vocals, are all present. For the first time we also find the new guitarrist Freddie Lindquist, who were responsible for the great "Menu" album in the mid 70's joining the band. Debut album from Swedish psych / prog band. 9 tracks of ambitious, spooky 1970s psychedelia with atmospheric and cosmic sounds. With Swedish lyrics and focus on guitars, that are often quite fuzzed out. Compared to their 2nd album, “Gudang garam”, this is more in the direction of hippie psych, at times remiscent of both ALGARNAS TRADGARD as well as TRÄD, GRÄS & STENAR. Allright ! So finally we get the 2nd chapter of the Swedish heavy spacerocker's musical history. No words to be said, but a very well done album that is filled with jams, flutes, vintage bass melodies, spaced synths and long tracks. More proggy than their debut, but maintaining their aggressive style. A must have for HAWKWIND, OZRIC TENTACLES, BLACK SABBATH fans as well as for friends of PINK FLOYD, GONG, and IRON BUTTERFLY. 2nd album from Swedish band. Here we got 14 tracks of superb retro-psychedelia, often compared with JEFFERSON AIRPLANE. The influence is there, but SKYRON ORCHESTRA is far heavier with lots of nice fuzz guitars and farfisa organs. Singer Veronica is a ace as well !! All killers, no fillers, and if you enjoyed their debut album, you will adore this one !! Incl. Videos of "Sacred atmosphere" and "Free ride"."

Debut album from this Oslo-based Norwegian quintet who takes you on a journey into the sombre, powerful landscape of prog with melancholic moods and psychedelic atmospheres. The music has clear roots in the experimental and progressive rock from the period 68-75 and embarks you on a ship fully loaded with heavy hammond organs, gloomy mellotrons and jazzy electric piano combined with classical instruments like cello, flute and saxophone. So far the band have been nothing but celebrated in the press, getting compared to bands like VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR, AMON DÜÜL and KING CRIMSON. One and only album from outstanding band from the Stockholm area. Released in '75, this is nothing less than a milestone in Swedish hardrock history. An album filled with progressive and guitar driven hardrock tunes with over the top fuzz dual guitars and moogs / hammond. Very intense and powerful, and always, when mentioned, described as one of the real jewels from Scandinavia. File next to URIAH HEEP and ZARATHUSTRA. Never on CD before, and adding 3 live bonus tracks, 1 of them; "Land over the rainbow" is never heard before! This is a must for all friends of 70's hardrock from Scandinavia !!

 

The 2nd album from ABRAMIS BRAMA after the debut "Dansa tokjävlens vals". Again, this quartet gave us a 10 tracker that was mainly influenced by old Swedish band NOVEMBER, much due to the fact they sung in Swedish, but also musically. But we could also mention many American bands like MOUNTAIN and HIGHWAY ROBBERY as influences, which is quite obvious when listening. The first pressing was made in a small number, and have been deleted for quite some years, but here we have it again !!

The band took Sweden by storm, and have gigged around for several years now, and buildt up a strong reputation for being a superb group carrying on the old legacy of bands like NOVEMBER and MOUNTAIN. This have been out of print for several years, so here you have another chance to grab this jewel !!

Here is a band that's worth all of your attention !! A 6 piece band from the very south of Sweden who have been around for a couple of years, but first now released their first effort. A 10 tracker that have it all. Spacey, mysterious, hazardous, dangerous tracks buildt up from jams. Often starts quite calmly and build up a powerful storm of musical attacks. This band includes violins, flutes, yidakis, didjeribone, vintage synthesisers, space and glissando guitars, and musically they are both progg, artrock, psychedelic and folky at the same time, fronted by sensual female vocals by Susanne. Impossible to categorize, and I could rave on for another page, but do not.
But I promise this beats most bands around today, just a total ace !!!!!

A band where you find influences going from the sounds of GONG and HAWKWIND to kraut / hippy feelings of TRAD, GRAS & STENAR and adding flutes and oscillators. This is a CD that carry long instrumental jams, broken by sci-fi stories in English vocals. Always very structured, with plenty stoned and psychedelic cosmic sounds. GRAND TRICK is a 5 piece heavy rock band from Linköping, Sweden who have now released their debut album. The 9 songs on the album are nicely performed and got a fresh and vital sound representative to the sort of heavy rock that GRAND TRICK is playing. Sounds like the 70's? Damn right it does, but not a simple tribute or a means to try and recreate the aforementioned decade. SVARTE PAN is a Swedish band who have earned themselves a good reputation of being a hard working band, who gives everything on stage. This is the 2nd album after the "Sov gott" album from 2002, who received very good response in the press. It's no secret that the band have their roots in the 70's bluesbased hardrock scene, but what differs SVARTE PAN with the others in the stoner rock genre is that SVARTE PAN is far more bluesbased, and also, do not put their trust in walls of distortion. SVARTE PAN delivers some superb melodies instead, and also adds swedish vocals. Their music could be described as a Swedish mixture of old bands like NAZARETH, BLACK SABBATH, a touch of JIMI HENDRIX vibe, and an even bigger slice of NOVEMBER. Together with ABRAMIS BRAMA, SVARTE PAN is another new bands carrying on the swedish bluesy hardrock style of NOVEMBER. A CD holding several potentional hits.

SKYRON ORCHESTRA is a new fresh band from Gothenburg coming with their debut album. 5 musicians being born far too late, paying their ode to the old psychedelic / progressive scene with this 10 tracker that features both short potentional hits, as well as longer instrumental songs. Features lots of retro organ sounds as well as guitars / bass and drums. Also, vocalist sounds at times a bit like Mariska Veres out of SHOCKING BLUE. Guitarrist we used to find in the 90's band called LOTUS handling the 4 string bass guitar, but this time it's guitar. All in all, a very good release that brings the best out of the 60's & 70's psych / progressive scene, adding a heavy touch to it, without being too much hardrock. Fabulous band, so far being compared to bands like early PINK FLOYD, DOORS and even UK MAGENTA.

Re-release of the classic and private pressed Lp by RADIO MÖBEL, originally released in a small pressing back in 1978. The 2nd out of 2 albums, whereof their debut "Tramsebox" was released in 1975. Containng 8 tracks of classic psychedelic symphonic rock with lots of moogs, keyboards and guitars, taking the musical journey to it’s highlight in the 15 minute "Flugornas morgon". Have some nice krautrockish keyboard sequences, as well as a UK progressive touch, an album standing in their own corner, and hard to compare with other. . Never on CD before, and hopefully out in the end of May 2005. After this we will release the debut album "Tramseböx" .

This English band seem to capture every reviewers heart lately. The band made their own pressiing in a few hundred copies, and are now sold out. So we decided to make a second press of this masterpiece. Seeing them be compared with bands like ASIA, KING CRIMSON, GREENSLADE, this band stands for quality, melody and complexity. Simply a outstanding piece of music.

Third album from Norweigan progressive legends LUCIFER WAS offers a more well though album that part contains a little more blues influenced style, but also more symphonic as they add much orchestration than before. The flutes and dreamy vocals as as present as always, with a clear JETHRO TULL influence. Mr axeman delivers some excellent bleeding guitar solos, much outstanding in the CAPTAIN BEYOND cover “Armworth”. This is a a release filled with magic and love for the 70’s scene – a time when music had no limits or boundaries. Very recommended !!
